College Stuff and Life

Hullo readers. Wait, readers? What are readers? (Just kidding love you mean it).

If you're reading this, I'm surprised I got a post up too! Yeesh. I promise promise promise that even though I'm not commenting much (sorry loves), I am definitely keeping up with blogs when I can! Other days, I just have to click that "mark all as read" button.

SOoooooooooooooooooooooo, life. It's been one of those  a couple of those weeks that I am go-go-go nonstop. I go to school, go home and study, go to work, get home and study, and go to bed.

Regarding school, I am now in college, baby! Dual enrolled, of course, but I am full-time at Chattahoochee Tech - no classes at the high school.

Good god I always look so awkward in non-selfies. How are you supposed to pose, how?!

Not gonna lie, even though I'm dual enrolling, I am definitely getting the college experience (academic-wise). I literally can't stress enough to people that I am not in high school at all, so I am getting all college work. I have been slammed with work from day one! Mainly from Anatomy Lab and Anatomy Lecture - when people say those classes are the hardest, they are absolutely telling the truth. Talk about an info-overload!

Studying at Starbucks...typical.

Not surprisingly, with work and stuff, most of my free time has been spent on school work.

What's so crazy about it, is I feel so crazy blessed. I am loving this season in my life. Maybe it's because I'm such a nerd, but I LOVE school and learning. I am so grateful that God has provided me with the ability to have an education!

And A&P - gah I am so dorky, but I absolutely love learning about the human body. We're just getting into cell structure and cellular processes (aka the most basic of the basic in physiology) and it is sooooo fascinating. PS. chemistry still sucks.

I really don't know how to transition from that, but here are some other tidbits from my iPhone pics:

My friend and I seeing The Giver (SUCH a good movie, but definitely not entirely true to the book).

A beautiful walk after a brief rain-shower. So lovely, and the temperature was nice and cool!

I found another forest animal! This one was really sweet and ran right up to me. :3 How safe is it to pet animals you don't know.......?

ERMAHGERD this puppy. Her name is Nova, and she is a six-week old boston terrier. CAN I PLEASE KEEP HER?!!!!!!! (She is my neighbors').

A beautiful morning walk before school - I have got to do that more often. It was so peaceful starting out my morning with a walk!

Also, I have approximately 8,000 pictures of food on my phone. It really is just a natural reaction for me to take a picture, even if it doesn't go up on Instagram or my blog. I realllyy need to do a WIAW soon...

Honestly, I've been more in an "eating to live" mode lately - I just do not have the time to be giving a lot of thought to food! *sniff* Although I do like having other things going on, what I wouldn't give for a home-cooked dinner, ya know?

Wow, that sounded sad. Ha! I just eat a quick 10-minute meal at work 5 times out of the week. Also, not much time for exercising either! Still taking it easy....some day. SOME. DAY.

Love you guys, and I really hope to be posting more on a regular basis! I am running out of ideas of what even to talk about, so if ya'll have anything specific you want me to elaborate on/a post idea, please feel free to give me a suggestion! Lord knows I need it.

Still Here!

Hey buddies!

Sorry for the lack of posts - I'll be back and posting (fairly) regularly as soon as I get this whole college/work/social life thing balanced out. Don't worry, I'll probably have something up for you by the end of the week. :)

Love ya'll!

Last Summer Roundup

Hello, hello my friends.

This Monday, I start school, which means that summer is coming to a close. I thought it would be a good idea to give you guys a final week recap, seeing as my weeks have mostly looked the same.

I've been spending a lot a lot of time outside/on trails. In fact, as much time as possible. Being inside at work for 6+ hours just makes me wanna get out in the sunshine.

Hike one:

Hike two:

Trail snackies:

On another note, I decided to start up my yoga program that I've been neglecting for, well, months, and did a routine focusing solely on my lower body. And MY GOD, people. The legs. They hurt. Hurt. Hurt. I think it's safe to say that after months of low-impact activity, anything can cause DOMS. Like, severe DOMS. Gah.

I've also been working on my online school work, attempting to get ahead. But gah the motivation is so hard to muster! Especially when learning physical science....meh. (Don't worry, it's easy stuff and I'm at least a week ahead).

school work selfie le duh

On Wednesday, I actually got dressed/did my hair/put on makeup and went to see a movie with my friend! (Yep we hang out a lot...obvs).

Onto the fooooooood. In case you haven't noticed, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day....forever....

I've been wanting "colder" snacks, so yogurt+fruit has been my main choice lately.

Seriously, this trail mix is freaking addicting.

And some savory snippets for your convenience:

To be honest, I'm pretty excited and ready to be back in school - reality just hasn't hit yet, I guess. I still haven't bought any school supplies or books (!!).

Also, I need to get my sleep cycle/circadian rhythms back to normal from all my late-night Netflix marathons....yeep. Even when I read to wind down, I still don't turn my lights off til 12:30! That's waayy too late for me, apparently. Naps for the win.

Well, that's all I have for ya! This summer has been a very different summer than the past - I mostly worked, slept, hiked, slept more, ate good food, and Netflixed. I had a lot less concrete "plans," no real vacation-y things, but I was busier than I've ever been, and I'm so thankful for the season of life that I'm in. You just gotta embrace where God has you!

Have a wonderful weekend, my darlings!

Inspiring Blogger Award

A couple of weeks ago, Leigha and Katherine tagged me for the Inspiring Blogger Award, the goobers. (Love you mean it.) Being the procrastinator/worker bee that I am at the moment, I just got around to writing it!

Here's the low-down:
Link the blogger(s) that nominated you (done)
List 7 facts about yourself
Tag 5 other bloggers
Try not to go crazy thinking of facts/bloggers

Do you guys know how hard it is to come up with one fact, let alone 7, that you don't already know about me? Gah. (Later note: once I got started, I had to sum it up to 7!! ha! I am just that interesting.)

1. I have a very right-brained, creative mind. I have always loved art, drawing, painting, and all that jazz, as well as writing (surprised?). I love the process of writing essays and coming up with a good paper, and journaling. Throughout elementary and middle school, I won a lot of art and writing contests (kind of slowed down once I hit high school...haha!).

2. Even as a young kid, I've always been a healthy eater and active person. I was also quite the tomboy - I played soccer, basketball, liked to run, and be outside. I remember my mom taking me to the pediatrician and telling her how I was the "veggie" lover of the family.

Oh, the days.....

3. I absolutely loooovveee learning. Pretty much every subject (minus math) interests me. The world is so fascinating.

4. My twin sissy is my absolute bfffffffffffffff. #Twinning since day 1.

5. I don't have many fears, but if I had to name my worst fears, they would be: natural disasters (tornadoes scare the crap out of me), getting kidnapped, getting stung, or having something happen to a loved one. They are pretty irrational sometimes, I'll admit. Ha.

6. I am a Disney fanatic and major dork. I love all "geeky" shows and books. (ex. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Sherlock, LOST)

When I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy....excellent movie by the way!

7. I am horribly sensitive and must find out the spoilers for intense episodes, finales, or books to keep my emotions intact. In fact, in between "deep" storylines, I have to break it with something lighter (ie, from Sherlock to The Office, from Call the Midwife to the Undomestic Goddess).

Now for my nominees! I know that most, if not all, of them have been nominated, but oh well. You're just too cool for school.

1. Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves
2. Rebecca @ Strength and Sunshine
3. Emily @ Smile Mile Girl
4. Sunnie @ Modern Girl Nutrition
5. Julia @ Lord Still Loves Me
